Rest In Peace Yasmin

"No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away."

- Terry Pratchett

Yasmin da Silva Nery - a proud Depphead.

In death, we find that something in the world has gone missing. This is only the error of believing that death can truly take a person from us. All we must do is preserve their memory to conquer death, so that death may not conquer all of them.

Yasmin, a scholarship holder and a young woman with hopes and dreams, can live on with honor and integrity among those that she called friends. Don't let the world forget her.

Rest In Peace, Yasmin, and look forward to seeing Johnny in Heaven one day.

"To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."

J.K. Rowling

"Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them."

- George Eliot

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!"

- Hunter S. Thompson

"I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death."

"End? No, the journey doesn’t end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it."

- J.R.R. Tolkien

"To die will be an awfully big adventure."

- Peter Pan

"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity." - Gilda Radner

"Do not fear death. Death is always at our side. When we show fear, it jumps at us faster than light. But, if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently and then guides us into infinity."

- Laughing Bull

"Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace." - Oscar Wilde

"This aspect of reality, this weird scary aspect of life, can just wreck everything if you don’t figure out at some point that it is what makes life so profound, meaningful, rich, complex, wild."

- Anne Lamott

"I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it."

- Mark Twain

"Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to “die before you die” – and find that there is no death."

- Eckhart Tolle

"Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it, a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can. But life leaps over oblivion lightly, losing only a thing or two of no importance, and gloom is just a passing shadow of a cloud."

- Yann Martel

"They are not dead who live in the hearts they leave behind."

- Tuscarora (Native American)
